Annual Athletics Federation Assembly
The Annual General Assembly of the Athletics Federation was held on Friday evening, February 13, 2026, in Erbil province at the Al-Zaytoon Hall within Sami Abdulrahman Park. Delegates, officials, and invited guests gathered to review the Federation’s activities, discuss strategic plans for the coming seasons, and strengthen cooperation between clubs, committees, and regional representatives. The atmosphere was professional yet cordial, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing athletics and supporting athletes at all levels across the country.
Among the distinguished attendees were Mr. Bakhtiar Rafiq Rasool, Second Vice President of the Olympic Committee and official representative of the Committee, and Legal Brigadier General Khalid Jabbar Al-Lami, Chairman of the Al-Jaish Club Administrative Board and Director of the Legal Department. Their presence underscored the importance of the Assembly and the close coordination between the Athletics Federation, the Olympic movement, and leading sports institutions. Additional club representatives, coaches, and technical staff also participated, contributing insights on governance, development programs, and upcoming competitions.
